Same here we tapped on Saturday the 7th. They were all doing the slow drip when we had all the drop in temps at night. Now the last two nights it didn't get down below 32 here and we have hardly a drop anywhere. Ground in the woods is hard as a rock all week. Yesterday it started softening up some. It's supposed to drop tonight below freezing we shall see if that helps at all. Collected about 165 gallons of sap so far.

Good day today. Sap was pushing thru the ladders at 9:30 and collected 300 by noon. I concentrated and cooked 1400 gallons from the last 4 days. Had no choice with the changes in the sap shack. I think the season has taken a good turn this week.

Woke up to 4" of heavy wet snow and it was about 34 degrees out and overcast. Best sugaring weather all year the sap is flying in the tanks. Now if my releaser would keep cycling. Had a slug of ice in the vacuum line the one that does the transferring from side to side. Were up and running. Picked up 500 gallons 3 1/2 hrs so it will be a good day.

Chuck good to hear that your sap is bountiful. Just remember to keep sap in the pans. Always works better that way. Good run here in WNY over night, need to hang on to sap for Maple Weekend , going to cool off today. Good luck!
