Weather looks good for sapping. Grandkids are out and want to help us tap trees. Tomorrow we will start. Hoping the trees will thaw out some this week so we have a good run by next weekend. Anxious to start the season.

Just south in Rusk County we tapped 90 trees with sap saks today. Trees are still frozen but snow was noticeably melting all day. We will be finishing our first 400 ft gravity line tomorrow with another 100 taps. Hope to be boiling by next weekend.

I'm in Milwaukee and just tapped five trees. No sap yet, but it's coming soon!!! It will be flowing by Wednesday. I tapped 3 giant silvers and two sugars.
