Default sawdust in 3/16 line

I'm about to start tapping my installed 3/16 passive vacuum lines. Sometimes after drilling my hole (with a good tapping drill), I will get sawdust clogging at the 3/16 tees. Is there anyway to prevent this? I hate to clean out the hole manually and possibly contaminate the tree.
Great Forum! Thanks

If your using a tapping bit then you should be pulling the shavings out if your keeping your drill level. I still have some that won't come out, too. I usually just break off a green twig from a nearby bush/tree and clean it out. Peel the bark back on the twig if you want. It's that simple.

I do the same, except I use a dead twig and I never peal the bark, I do brush loose bark off against the drill bit. Each twig gets used once and tossed. Most holes need no twig. By the way, it's drill shavings not SAW dust.

Default Sawdust in 3/16 line

Thanks for the terminology correction and for the advise. I have waited a bit after tapping the hole if sap is running but hard to find the hole sometimes. Even thought about q-tips for each hole. Just a pain if you get a bunch of shaving clogging 1/2 of the tees.
Anyway, thank you for the stick tips
