I like D&G, but it does not pull well around trees, it tends to grab the trees. It stretches and holds it's tension well. I looked at Leader's 3/16 but it was essentially the same as their 5/16, just smaller.
To run the D&G 3/16, I actually attach it to the main and walk with the spooler., Then when I start the next run I start at the end and weave my way down to the main. I pull then snug as I route it, but when I cut in the drops I sometimes need to remove a little more for proper tension. That then gets used to make a drop. I have not tried any others.

I've used leader's and CDL. Both are good. Leaning toward leader as a favorite because I like the way it handles in the woods.

DSD. I'm biased tho. I put DSD, D&G, Leader, and CDL 3/16ths out this year. Ask me in about 5 years.

I have ran some of the cdl last year and I liked it. But it was the only brand I have ran personally. Really like hearing what others have run and there experience with it.
