Default Releaser , what do you think, opinions ?

O.k. I am collecting pieces and hoping to put a system together.
I would be starting with around 400 taps with hopes to get to a 1000 in the future.

This is the releaser I was looking at, I do not have electricity at all, otherwise I would consider a sub/releaser.
I have 2 vacuum pumps, a Deleval 73 or a Surge SP-11. This will be gas powered most probably with a 3.5 predator.
Just looking for opinions as this will be my first bigger vacuum set-up. I currently run a 2088 Shurflo and have had good results.
Thank you

I looked in the CDL catalog for the picture of the releaser you posted and the catalog says it is for 4,000 taps. Are you going to have that many or the 1,000 potential like you posted?

If you plan for 1,000 taps, I would suggest definitely using a Lapierre single 12" x 18" sv single releaser good for 1,200 taps. I have had 5 of them for 11 years and they pretty much work flawlessly. Pretty easy to maintain. At the end of each season, after cleaning them up completely, I lubricate all of the gaskets with food grade grease. Good to go for the next season.

Also starting out with 400 hundred taps the Surge SP-11 might be pushing it with that many taps. It would work on a new tight system. As the tubing ages and your tap count increases I would think you may need something bigger. Don't know anything about the Deleval 73.

Default Deleval 73

I have searched and found that the Deleval 73 should deliver about 8cfm , this would be ideal for 400, hard to say at 1000 as I don't have much experience with vacuum of this scale.

the releaser you picked is overkill for 1000 taps

Check out an Ed Soble releaser he has some posted here in the classifieds. He could probably build you something that would more closely match your needs.
