Default Shurflo sap ladders

Wondering if anyone has sap ladders on any shurflo pumps? Is so how did the ladders perform? I have 3/4" mains with 5/16" lateral. Have to raise about 5 to 7ft due to a riding trail.

I would be highly surprised if it would work without seeing a reduction in production. And here's my reasoning behind it. People have tried it with a sap puller with poor results. People have also tried sap ladders with smaller mechanical vacuum pump again not great results. Shurflo's just don't have any cfm's and the ability maintain high enough vacuum through a sap ladder. Most people that I have talked to say you need to be close to 18hg's before ladders even think about working properly. How many taps you running on this set-up?

Around 70 or so. It's a leased woods that I have no available electricity too. I have another main in this bush but don't have to lift it. It will have a separate shurflo on it. The owner has trails all through the bush and and his only demand was don't clothesline anyone. Any other suggestions are appreciated too

What about using two, one pushing sap up the ladder and one at the end of the main pulling?

What are you using as a collection tank at the end of the mainline? So why the desire for the ladder you only want one collection point or something?
give a little more info on the woods flat, has some slope, hills. What is the trail used for? is it seasonal for something are people going to be using it during sugar season?

I run 50 taps on a 5' ladder using a Shurflo. I have 24" vacuum at pump and roughly 21-22" 400 feet past the ladders...so I don't lose a ton of vacuum by using the sap ladders with a diaphragm pump. Key to this is a tight system, no air injection prior to the ladder. One thing I will offer to say after a lot of experimenting is I am not using star fittings on the top side of the ladders, I am only using them on the bottom. I did not have a lot of luck using the stars on the top with this pump set up.

I am using 1" mains and 5/16" laterals. Sap ladder is 1000' from pump. When others say it can't be, I now can say it can be done. You should have no problem lifting sap to get an ATV to pass under.

So tell us more about this set-up? What fittings are you using on the top? Why did you decide on the 1" mainline? How long does this system take to get to those number on initial start-up? How old is the system now?

1400' of 1" main (mostly due to where my pump is vs where the trees are) 150 taps total, no more than 3 or 4 taps per 5/16" lateral. 50 taps are going thru the ladder system. It's very very flat by me so I chose 1" in hopes I had some room for error in my slope calculations and didn't choke the system off with a potential low spot. 4th year on tubing since install, running CV's and takes about an hour to vacuum down the system. But most of the season pump runs non stop unless we get a really hard freeze or several days of freeze, then I shut it down.

Using 1" x 5/16" fork fittings on top. Not sure why these are working so good but they do for me. Tried just about everything until I stumbled on these forks. Not saying the star fittings don't work with the Shurflo, they just don't work as well as these fork fittings are for me.

Most of the area here is flat so fall must be created. The end of main and most laterals must be done by step ladder. If I can incorporate a sap ladder then I can rule out a pump, extra batteries, another collection point and time saved. Sounds as though it is obtainable just need the confidence that it will work. Without a proper count I'd say there will be 20-30 taps lifted and atleast 50 plumbed directly to pump. The star at the bottom, is it a 3way or 6? Pics or videos speak volumes. Lol I learned more from picture books!
