So any non-detergent oil will work in a vacuum pump?

Most Dairy pumps use ball bearing that only need simple oil. the non pulley side can be a bronze bearing because the side load is less. Yea good old 30 wht will be fine.

I ran the 76 all last year at around 21" with no problems, but trying to run at higher inches it would chatter like the veins were sticking and hitting the outside casing instead of sliding smootlhly Has anyone had this problem and was able to fix it? Thanks Vernon

Default 76

Found another 76 and have run it 2 years at 28" with no problems. Never did find out what was making the noisy thump in the other one? Would like to find out what is the problem to be able to have it for a spare? Vernon
