Default Added Another Membrane

Now at three membranes .....
Hope to be around 110 gph .......
Hope to do one pass to get to 8% .....
I guess time will tell .....
Had to plumb the complete unit ....
But I think it is going to be easier to get at the valves ......

The two small lines are for the pressure gauges ..... didn't have 2 feral nuts for the compression fittings .....
The only line not connected is the line coming from the pump ..... the others are connected.
The permeate lines coming out of the vessels need to be connected later too .......

Nice setup. I have a question to see if you can help. I am trying to make an RO setup with the Axeon HF5 Membrane and a Marathon 3/4 HP Motor with a Pro Con vane pump. I am trying to understand how many GPM i can see throughput. Can you answer this for me. I started a thread and 60 members have looked at it with no response.

Thanks,
Luis

Luisc, give more specifics on what you have and you might get an answer.

Luisc ......
There is a lot that comes into play here ......

What size is your membraines?
How much will they flow?
How many membranes will you have?
What size pump do you have????

For my set up I am hoping for 110 to 120 gph .....
My Pro-Con Series 2 pump is rated for 140 .... so no matter what ... I will get no more than 140 gph
I maxed the pump out doing a rinse the other day .....

So give us some info and we will help ya out .......

Please keep in mind i will use this system for water only. I just cannot find help in any forum with anything on RO. This site is awesome so much RO systems it makes my head spin :).

1. Axeon HF5 4040 membrane so 4x40"
2. Just 1 for now. Will 2 help give more flow?
3. 2500 GPD from the Website at 80 psi.
4. Just ordered a Marathon 3/4 HP with a 330GPH Procon Pump

I ordered 4x40" with 1" fittings for prefilters but that looks like overkill.lol, I think I will get some smaller ones like 2 2x20 for sediment and carbon block with 3/4" fittings.

I stumbled upon this site that claims 2.77 Gallons Per Minute. They are using a 3/4HP Motor with a 250GPH Fluid O Tech pump. I ordered a Procon 330 GPH and will adjust flow as needed as i don't think my pump can output for this pump. It looks like the consensus is to buy a bigger pump just in case you want to upgrade. Is this correct? I want to do like you and mount in on plywood for my garage.

This is the company that claims 2.77 GPM. It is the SG2 cart. https://www.window-cleaning-supply.c...-water-system/

What kind of pump are you using?

Thanks

Luisc ......

Water only ..... well I am not into that purification system .......
What are you doing this system for???
I have XLE membranes and use them for sap .......
Water will go through the membrane easier than sap for sure ....
Yeah the 330 gph pump should be good for 3 membranes that size .....
We are using a Pro-Con Series 2 .... 140 gph .......
