Default Smallest made RO

Just wondering what the smallest maple-based RO unit would be with out getting into home-grown or converted water systems? It always seems like it's cheaper to upgrade the arch then to add RO so what price point would be the bare minimum?

Bryan,

The smallest RO I know of is the Leader unit- its either a 50 or 80gph. Last I knew I thought it went for around five thousand dollars. Maybe someone more familiar with their lineup will chime in? Yes, an RO is pricey, more than some evaporator upgrades, but they do more for you in terms of shorter boil times and fuel savings. No other upgrade will take the same amount of water out of the sap as an RO.

Heus,
I need to give Ray a call. I'm sure it's done. If I wait much longer it's going to be too late to get it hooked up for this year.

Coopermaple,
The most recent ad I've seen for the Waterguy HP2500 that processes 150-200 gph is $3955 in the December 2011 issue of the Maple Syrup Digest. If you were quoted less

Rock Island Farm,

Ray Gingerich
1537 Easton Rd.
Orwell, Ohio 44076
1-440-422-3047

Hope this helps,
Jim
