Default New RO membrane freezing

With the cold weather starting to set in and my RO on order it got me to thinking. Does a brand new membrane need to be protected from freezing? By the time my RO is built there will certainly be a good chance for freezing weather and hauling it 10+or- hours home in the back of a pick-up. So is this something to be concerned about?

I think it is a real concern. Since it is new have him leave it in the original packaging and not put it in the membrane housing. That way it can ride in the warm cab with you.

Yes and no. I had my deer run delivered last jan and it was -14F when I picked it up at the freight yard. Ray will test it then winterize it with glycol. He told me it was good to zero.........mine ran fine when I fired it up.
