Nice choice. I ordered the same one a couple weeks ago. So did Terry (lastwoodsman) I'm already excited for next year cause my boil time will be greatly reduced (for now) even after i add taps. Good luck with yours.

Should be fun---

Thanks, I had noticed you both had already ordered prior to me based on some posts on here etc... I am going from 85 taps to 300 taps on my Waterloo Small 19X66, so I am thankful Ray is producing a economical unit for the smaller producers. I was originally going to order one of his 75 GPH Hobby Units last winter, but after talking to him decided to hold off and get some feedback from him after sugaring season based on the limited number of units he sold, glad I did. He stopped producing that 75 GPH Hobby model and created this model based on the performance data of the 75 GPH model.

We are now having him motor freight them to us as our other plan fell through, Ray felt it would be cheaper to put two on a pallet and ship.

He did say his normal delivery guy is from Wausau so it should be a good deal. I googled him and turns out he is originally from Shawano.

Lastwoodsman,
Don't worry too much about the learning curve with these machines for a couple of reasons. First, because they are very simple to run. I didn't have much exposure to RO's before this year. After the first run and playing around with it, it all finally made sense. I stared at it in my basement for 6 months waiting for the maiden voyage. By time the season came to an end I took 400 gallons of sap into 100 gallons of concentrate, boiled a little over 2 hours, used 3-4 wheelbarrows of wood and made 8 gallons of syrup. Secondly, there are enough people on here using Ray's ROs questions specific to his machines can be quickly answered.

Like John Denver said "Oh God!" Does that sound wonderful--- I am so looking forward to having that happen. Yea it will be perched in front of my recliner in the living room all winter with me staring at it.
The wood and more importantly the time savings!! Wow----
SadSam did you read that! 400 gallons to 100 gallons, I may sleep again in the spring.
I am giddy just reading it-----
