Default RO Washing

Just built our RO. Runs GREAT,at the end of every use I rinse with about 80 galls of permeate. Used the Ro 2 maybe 3 times. My question is
1. when do you wash the element.
2 How do you wash the element
3 What is all the talk about the PH
We are very new to the Maple business and are very small. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. i wash mine every time i use it, then rinse with 80 gals of R/O water.
2. how you wash it depends on what membrane you have
3. PH is how strong the soap solution is

where ever you bought your set up from should be able to give you the info

You can make up a flow chart to keep track of flow rates. We only wash with hot water till we see flow rates drop more than 10%. We carry 2 membrane cleaners & if you ask where/who sold the membrane what soap to use. Our liquid has clorine that can damage some membranes. Hot permeate wash after each use helps.
