I tapped on Saturday, but then, I'm in the Deep South here . Looks like it might run a couple days this week, but the following week looks good

gmack - we got 500 taps in between Saturday and Sunday afternoon. It was so cold overnight it took until mid afternoon both days for it to be warm enough to start.

The snow is not fun! Luckily there's no crust in the middle like last year so it's easier on the back. It's so light and fluffy we didn't bother with the snowshoes - just wade through it. Unless we get a warmup to create a crust we can walk on it'll be tough going.

I'll be hanging on the weekend. Should be interesting breaking in trails and hanging buckets with all this snow.

Calling for 8 C on the 11th, will head into the bush this weekend and trample some snow and start drilling. Only about 2' snow in the woods, far cry from last year.
