Default Ontario Pricing

I'm trying to average out my pricing for this year. I find prices that are all over the place.
I saw on Kijiji today someone selling a 1 litre size for $25. must be awful good syrup.
What will be your selling price this year on:
4 Litre :
2 Litre :
1 Litre :
500ml :
I sell 1/3 oz candy in a bag of 6 :

I don't sell cream, although I would like to. Sort of like BryanEx I don't want to spend $1500 on a machine. My ROI would be terrible.

Pretty much same pricing this year for us with a bit of a bump on the 4 litres.

4 litre - 70
1 litre - 20
500ml - 12

Locally the larger producers are running 20~23 for a litre jug.

As far as the cream machine goes we will likely buy one after the maple season but we will be renting it out locally to help cover costs.

My pricing is the same as Bryans, but I am close enough to the city that I could probably get more. Lots of people doing the "buy local" thing around here and there are lots of people around here, so it's good for me. I go up to St. Jacobs/Elmira area a lot and there are lots of Mennonites selling syrup in that area for $35-$40 per gallon Too much competition in that area I think.

We have Amish approx 20 miles away, and they sell for about $45.00. I have a lot of repeat customers, so I don't worry about it. I've been lucky to sell out every year.

At the Lanark District OMSPA meeting the survey of producers' pricing for 2013 was:

4L $80-$54, avg $62
2L $48-$26, avg $34.80
1L $29-$15, avg $20
500 mL $19-$6, avg $11.82
250 mL $12-$5.30, avg $7.25

Our prices will be close to the average for each size.

Great survey, what this just for the Lanark District? Thanks

From what I'm seeing I will have to jack up my prices. Hey, I may be able to afford a preheater with all this extra cash!

I understand that Lanark district was one of the only locals to do an anonymous pricing survey. Retail prices in southwestern Ontario tend to be the lowest in the province.
