Took a little research but I figured it out. First thought was beekeeping fogger thing. Still think that would work tho. Fill it with Xak's ethenol free gas and light that baby up! Lol

Haven't seen one of those for quite a while, or ever used one, but I do know what it is.

It,s a gasoline blow torch.

Fill with gasoline'
Pump up pressure with thumb pump(like colemen stove)
Put two or three teaspoons of gas in area under the nozzle and light the gasoline
Crack open the black valve and when blue flame is acquired go to work with it.
Hook on the top is for a sodering iron and the little 'V" on the top in the front is to rest the sodering iron on and keep it in the flame
I used one of these as a teenager on the farm it was the only portable type of heat available to thaw things out

Jim
PS I still have one of these!!

When I was a Wee Lad of 17 I worked a summer back when they installed cast iron soil pipe and we packed the joint with Oakum and then poured in lead and then pounded the lead tight into the joint. Now if the pipe was horizontal you had to take a asbestos dam and clamp/clip it to the pipe with the opening up so you could pour the lead in.

If the pipe was cold you would heat it with that type of torch so the molten lead would flow in. We used White gas / Colemen fuel

Nothing like working with pure lead Asbestos and gasoline all at once...........
