I'm sure someone's economic status will change once the grant money helps them hire that many employees.

There is a correlation between political donations and how you get treated/paid back later. Then before you know it they will be in front of Congress sitting next the Ben Affleck talking about the great work they are doing and how hard it is to be a small business man and they need more grant money to help the "Children"

4.1mm divided by 59, that almost $70000/ employee. Heck I'll go work for that.

Default Bear town

Crown maple bought up alot of land near me over the winter. There is a thread on maple trader about it right now. I have made it a point to drive up to Bear town in sandgate VT just outside manchester every summer just to dream about what it would be like to tap that valley. It is hidden and awesome I never realized that the NY state govt .would have bought it for me if I had just asked .After reading this article this whole program goes down like a rat sandwich for me . Good luck to them and I will not go up to bear town this summer.Hopefully someone local will get some of that 4 million working for that outfit but I doubt it .I think the money was already spent -foamy

Being from a family farm in the Midwest this article reminds me of the farm program that was established in the eighty's to help family farms cope with low farm prices and high interest rates. The eighty's farm program was established too late for the family farms and was only utilized by the now prevalent corporate farms who have used this money to buy out and out bid these same family farm operations who now cant compete . Only in America!

I would expect to see a few photo ops this election cycle with a few smiling presidential candidates using them as a humble farm family showing how with a little boost from the government anything is possible.

Wow, that's super close to me. I'm in Patterson the next town over. About 5 minutes down the road.
