Not much here. Chimney fire(more like a blockage) last week. Couple days ago we went mutual aid to a pretty good save on a basement fire. ( filled tankers and filled bottles with our trailer.

I was on the local dept. years ago, and one of the trucks had a tool box that said "when all else fails" then you open it and there were roasting sticks and a bag of marshmallows I wonder if it's still there now, probably not, I'm sure someone complained. I miss the calls, the ability to help others. I don't miss the small town politics, we had it bad
Thanks to all you who put your life in danger for others

I was on the local department for 22 years full-time.
I retired in 1999 ..... the check comes the 2nd of every month!!
Now I just listen for the most part ......
I get cold listening to the guys when it's -10* ... so I turn the thermostat up.

The cause is still under investigation. It was not occupied and just changed owners. Most of the barns around here are 100-200 years old and are as dry as gun powder.

Grazer You didn't work with the Baileys Harbor Basement savers did you? Did I ever tell you about the time I had a grass fire and called 911 and gave them the wrong street address Clark Lake instead of Cave Point. I had two pissed off Fire Chiefs on my land.
