Default Another "losing a friend" thread

Over the past ten years or so I've seen many different posts both here and on Trader from someone losing, or that has lost, their dog after many years of being part of the family. I'm sorry to say I am the next one to start such a thread as our 14 1/2 year old standard poodle is to the point he just can't manage any more. Rather than seeing him suffer we plan on making him a mess of his favourite pancakes before a trip to the vet later this week.

Maxwell... thanks so much for all the good memories.

- Bryan

Its a tough decision. Their time is short but the memories last well past the pain. You know your making the best decision for him.

So sorry to hear,
just know you are being kind to help him at his "end of life" time.

One of my "pups" had to suffer longer than he should have because of my own selfishness/weakness, I still haven't forgiven myself for that failure.

So again, know you are doing the right thing.

Sorry to hear that Bryan. We had to make that decision ourselves a few months ago, and it wasn't easy.
