Default Long Range Forecast

Holy cow! If the long range forecast holds true Mid Michigan wont make any syrup until the second week of March. Wasn't too long ago we had a week of 80 degree weather that ended the season in the first half of March. That's farming for you, every year is different. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/du...weather/333736

This might be a winter and spring like we had when I was a kid. You should not be able to play high school baseball games in Michigan in early March even though I would have loved it back then.

Who would've guessed the long-range forecast might be wrong?

We're about 40% and gaining. Main bush is about 75%. Other bush is about 20%. Should be done in another 7-10 days, but still hoping for another 3 wks of cold weather. Still have a lot of arranging in the sugarhouse and experiments to prep.

We will be finished tomorrow. 2 of the woods are flushed and ready for sap. The lease will have to flush out maybe Monday if it gets warm enough, if not then Tuesday it will be.
