What does everyone do for maple mustard and maple BBQ sauce labels ? What about nutritional and ingredient labels ?

My custom labels are done by Sugarbush suppy in Mason mich. But before you go into the BBQ and mustard business there are a few ground rule before you sell. If you are not liscened you can use the Mich cottage food act but that limits you what you can do and label . MY mustard has been cleared by my MDA rep because we use a comercially made mustard to start with but if you make your own mustard is a whole new story because of the distailled vinager. If the BBQ sauce has tomatoe that creates big problems, the way I understand it its the acid foods that require special handleing and licsencing. As far as the nutrinentional info I asked her on my inspection this month and she ssaid it is required after 10000 units are being sold. But this is naot an offficail stamd of the MDA please call them they are more than happy to help, they are not here to give you a hard time just to protect the public

I ordered a bunch from them 2 years ago. GREAT LOOKING labels!! OK to deal with and the price seemed right. No, I don't remember the price without looking up the old invoice..

I took a peak at the website. I noticed they also sell a batch number label as well. With the inspections going on in Wi it could be a good source for them.

We ahve something similar in NH, Called a homestead licence but you need to have your recipes approved through them and send samples to get tested for bacteria. But as far as labels I do my own for now for maple cream and stuff.

I do wanna get a homestead license so I can do the mustard, bbq sauce jellies and jams as well.
