Default Maple Cream or Maple Butter

Hi everyone! We are making Maple Cream today - wow it's a lot more work stirring than the sugar was. Bryan Ex has been stirring for over 1/2 hour now and I, unfortunately, am drinking the last beer

Is a professional grade stand mixer fitted with a paddle heavy enough to make Maple Cream? I'm talking about the 550+ watt Kitchen Aid type mixers commonly used in small bakeries and restaurants, not the home type. We are low tech here and can't see ourselves making enough for sale without a machine of some sort and $2000 for a maple cream machine is out of the question.

i use a bench press drill, (clean), and a new paint/gypsum mixer (metalic one not the red painted ones), take about 10-15 minutes to make cream.

Pretty sure that Merna is only trying to justify a pro-grade mixer by putting a maple twist on things and selling it to hubby as a must-have.

... but just guessing.

Well I will say that I have heard of more than one, shall I say lots of people try the kitchen aid mixers not the cheapo's but the high end ones only to end up buying the wife a new one. Not that I have ever tried that sort of thing myself. It will burn up if not sooner than later.
