Can you use any cotton candy machine to make maple cotton candy?
Has anyone made it before and is there something speciall you gotta do to make the machine work with maple?
Thanks in advance..the wife and tasting room staff REALLY want to figure this out.!

You can use a regular cotton candy machine. Mix 5 parts white sugar with one part maple sugar.

Finer maple sugar will waste more in the bottom of the bowl. I have gone as much as 2 maple to 1 cane. Works ok in my old gold medal machine. I use darker syrup for my cotton candy sugar. Gives more color and more maple flavor. If you have commercial color with good flavor it works the best.

Wiam; We make 100's of containers of maple cotton candy. and we use 1 part maple sugar(made with 'B' syrup) and 4 parts white sugar. Get 2# deli containers w/lids from the local super market ( we buy the 100's from a supplier in N.J.)and fill with cotton candy (about 1 1/2 of a normal bag) and after filling put in the freezer and they will keep indefinatly. We have a new gold metal "toranado' machine
works for us!
