Default Website Construction

Guys I'm looking for someone to build a website capable of online shopping for my company. Anyone here in the business? Anyone have suggestions on who I could contact to build a website for me?

I would highly recommend an e-commerce platform such as Shopify. You will have to pay about $30/month to keep it open, and about $10 a year for your domain name. They have many free themes that would suit maple products, and you can find people to customize it for you for a reasonable fee. Building an e-commerce store from scratch can be very involved and expensive. Shopify also offers a merchant account service with reasonable fees so you can accept credit cards, PayPal, and Amazon Payments. I think the best part is that once you are used to using the system, it's very easy to manage. Another big advantage is having a site that really looks professional and trustworthy. You will want that in order to convert traffic into sales.

Their customer service and help documents are also excellent. It's a Canadian company and whenever you call them for help, you always talk to a real person right away. I'm not sure what other people use but if were to process sales online, I would use this.

I think the real challenge is driving traffic to your site. You will have organic traffic from people who have heard of you, but ranking on the first page of a Google search is a challenge for everybody.

This is my opinion on web sites. Some sell things and some are informative. Then there are the ones that try and be informative but they TRY and sell thing by being disingenuous.

So you click on a site to buy a simple product and they send you down a worm hole of confusing and misleading side sites that constantly bombards you with crap. I dispise these type of sites and the first click on a site that plays this game is my last time I will deal with them.

I buy a lot of things from small internet suppliers and I wont do business with complicated sites. I have gone to sites and never find a phone number because they want you to leave all sorts of info before you can leave your Email and wait for them to call or Email..........................That's crap goodbye

Zak I would look around at sites you go to and see who builds the site and how user friendly it is.

Thanks Jim! Its a work in progress, but its coming along. I took BryanEX's advice from a pm and started a free wordpress website on my own. I didn't think I was computer savvy enough to do it but I had nothing to lose since it was free. I have a lot of hours into what you see there, but it is getting easer to understand and I am getting faster at adding stuff as I go. Don't be afraid to build a website you own, I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Dang Xak I about crapped when I hit Contact us and the first thing I saw was the email info.

I think you need your Phone number under your banner as big and wide in Husky Orange

Maybe a landscape material calculator to help with homeowners.
