I was able to download malwarebytes andbefore it was complete the pop ups started. so I watched a youtube video and it said to try offline, so i was able to install off line and for now its working, thanks to everyone who offered to help.

I would still suggest paying a tech to thoroughly clean it. One tool is almost never enough. I always use a minimum of 7 tools. But I don't suggest letting the average user use them either. Then there is always browser cleanup after you get the computer cleaned. They love to leave behind proxies, corrupt hosts files that redirect your browsers to infected sites that just infect you again. Plus a list of other things that need to be cleaned up.

If I knew someone in your area, I would recommend someone. Ask around. Usually most people know someone they trust.

I second this (very good) suggestion, especially if you're not a real computer nerd and don't have access to another "clean" machine. A tech should be able to remove all traces of a virus infection and get your system running properly again.

Be aware that you might lose some stuff in the process (hence the reason you should back up critical things regularly).

I use 4-5 scanning tools on a regular basis.
