Default Off season builds

Would love to see some build projects we all can follow during the off season to keep feeding the bug. If you have any in the works or plan on be sure to post up the builds. Always great to read and follow along. I will have one that I have been asked a few times to post. Yes CPMAPLE coming to SBI soon . Lets get them up for all to enjoy. Be sure to post up any build ideas you would like to see as well. Maybe someone has already done it and can guide you in the right path.

Well looking forward to have the Wife raise the Arch a bit, stain the Sugar House, cut the wood split it and pile it, finish the loft and she mentioned something about the Sugar House needing curtains Oh yeah I might find the time to build a steam hood in between fishing, consuming coffee, tecting, relaxing and supervising her I'll post some pics of my adventures, oh and few of her Sugar House projects!

Getting stuff together to build my homemade releaser. Going vac on about 25 taps or more by the sap house. Hope to get more sap than this year out of those few taps. If i can find another place to tap real close, and that has electric near, maybe ill set something up there too. time wil tell.

Enlarging the sugar house and building an RO room. Finally going to run some real power to the shack instead of 2 100' extension cords. Will post pics as things progress.

Am I the only one that just makes things for the heck of it. I have 2 vacuum pumps and have plans to put together 2 more just because. I have been told before to leave well enough alone.......................BUT. I sold my log splitter because I get all the fireplace wood I need for the taking and yet I have four I beams, 3 Gas motors, 5 hydraulic rams,2 pumps and 2 double detent splitter valves......................WHATS a guy to do with his spare time.

1.I am hoping to pour concrete in my sugarhouse. Tired of crushed stone floor.
2.Have to build a pump house where my electric releaser/pump and vacuum pump will be located.
3.Finish installing lateral lines and one sap ladder.
4.Install/insulate/brick my new evaporator when it arrives hopefully in late summer.
5.Would like to stain the outside of sugarhouse.
6.I have bees now so time spent with them, too.

I am hoping to build some form of sap preheater, something in line with the feed line and nothing that covers up the flue pan much...Still thinking and figuring it out. I dont have a hood and dont intend on getting one... Oh and I also want to add a few windows in the sugarhouse as I do not have ANY right now!

I have a few myself, right now i am in the process of building a stand for my new bottler i will post some pics. This summer i am hoping to enclose the area under the flue so i can induce warm dry air into the fans off the bottom and back of the flue instead of drawing cold air off the floor. This should help speed up secondary combustion. I will also post pic's of that modification as well. Finally ( thanks to Darrick ) i am the proud owner of a Surge RV BB-2 Vacuum Pump so i will need lots of help from you all on this project later this summer.
