Default Home made Frankenflue pan

Here is my homemade flue pan
It is to go on my barrel evaporator
Not a whole lot of fun welding SS pipe to paper thin steam pans LOL
As you can see it kept warping

Hope it works !! LOL

Ahhhhhhh! 70 buick -- another great work in the field of Back Yard Sugarin. Have You field tested it yet? Looks like it would boil sap very fast - let me know how it works for you. --Mike--

Unfortunately gave not been able to try it yet

although I did tap about 40 trees yesterday, tough walking through 3 feet of snow though

They are saying 2 days this week of +4 but back cold for the weekend
I guess we will see

Good looking drop tube fabrication. Should improve the boil in that rear pan. Good clear pictures Thanks for posting.
Regards,
Chris

Remember we were talking about how a wood fired arch would give the syrup a slight smoky flavor...............................YIKES talk about a slight hint of enamel I would have never thought of that.......and thats a good thing.
