That looks like the same type pump I have. May I ask what the port size is? Nice custom build! Have you made cream yet with it?
I had to have stainless gears made for mine. Kept braking the plastic ones. They were not made to pump that thick cream.
I will be making a small batch tomorrow.
Regards,
Chris

What is the HP rating on the motor, and what is the ratio of the reducer?

OK, I have the specs now. A friend made a cream machine with 3/4 HP and 10:1 gearbox, driving a 1 inch pump. It could be stalled with too much pure taffy, but once some got circulated, you could add pretty big amounts without problems. My thought was to go to 15:1. Also, it seemed to recirculate pretty fast, so I thought slowing the pump down would be acceptable, as well as needing less power. Thanks!!
