Default Diaphragm pump spec's

I was asking Michael from Proflowdynamic's if they had food grade high temp air operated diaphragm pumps. I would assume 1/2" ports will work but 3/4" would be better. What would the ideal GPM be for filter press?

Haynes, the one I just got is a1/2" Rand Aro that is supposed to pump 13 gpm max. Make sure the ball, seats and diaphragm materials are correct not only for the heat, but also for the abrasivness of filter aid and niter. I shopped on ebay till I found the right price and specs.

Plastic Water Tanks, Liquid Tanks, Salt Brine Liquid Handling
This company has been a great resource to us NYers for a long time. He advertises diaphragm pumps he sells for filter presses in the maple news as well. He should answer any question you have and at the very least get you the info you are after.

Haynes you might as we get a high pressure one cause I can all ready see it now you go to multitasking and forget to turn down the pressure and we'll next thing you know the pump is in a million little pieces .................. On a serious note I believe most use a half in pump even with a full bank but I am not totally sure your best bet is probably that guy that 3rd is talkin about.

Jake, look for other miraculous events taking place like, water running up hill, all the snow going back up to the sky, a three week non stop sap run, and best of all me feeling like I'm twenty again.

The pump on my press is a Wilden 5000-01. Not sure about the specs on the internal components.
