Default custom built steam hood and covers

Ron just went and picked up his new steam hood and covers that he had his Amish friend make. Hood has sliding doors on each side and covers for the float boxes and front pan. this way things stay clean when in storage. This saved us a HUGE amount of money compared to what the companies were asking. Dan also made my stainless steel kitchen and bathroom counters and great chimney pipes for the house! Great when you find real talent.

Is this friend open for business? I'd like a steam hood for next season... Where is he located? May get in touch with him if he's looking to make more.

Default steam hood

The steam pipe hasn't been attached yet, that's what Ron is holding in the gallery pic. The guy who built this is an Amish metal worker and is also a maple syrup producer, so I think things will work fine.

I think I would add a squirrel case fan and help pull the steam up the exhaust! Mount it off to the side and Y it in. It would not have to be to big. Just a thought.
