Default Electro/Mechanical Releaser

I have been working on my releaser lately . I'm using a piece of 11" I.D. pvc waterline, sch 120 for the main tank and a piece of 8" sch 40 for the top . I made the flapper valves out of lexan and a piece of rubber . The hinge for the flappers are quick release so the surface can be cleaned. I'm thinking to just silicone that fitting on so I can take them off easily.
I have 4 inlets going into the top tank . I will have 2 lines going into it now, maybe more later . I'm using Hayne's idea of using latching solenoids for the valves . I haven't figured out how they work yet . the solenoid says 4.5 volts ,but it wouldn't work on 4.5 volts . I'll have to talk to my B.I.L. for more assistance on that .
I have a couple of questions . The vertical pipe going into the top tank will only have the thickness of the pvc it is going through to be held by glue . Am I better to seal this connection with silicone . I thought about running that pipe all the way to the top of the tank and gluing it to the top too . I would then cut about a 1" hole in the pipe at the bottom to let the sap into the pipe .Will the 2" fernco be sucked in with a 2" gap between tank fittings . I still have to build a saddle and support for the top tank to sit in and be connected to the bottom tank .[IMG][IMG]http://www.sugarbush.info/gallery/data/501/medium/0012.JPG[/IMG]http://www.sugarbush.info/gallery/data/501/medium/0021.JPG[/IMG][IMG]http://www.sugarbush.info/gallery/data/501/medium/0021.JPG[/IMG

i would also lean towards a plastic epoxy weld, or a "2 ton epoxy to make your pipe glue connection ...... maybe something like i used to glue in my float switches on my electric releaser
