I take it that there is internal controls that will turn the pump on at high and then shut the pump off when it hits the low switch. Now a few things I slave over trying to come up with a simple releaser is HOW it will self drain when the vacuum is off so it can gravity flow during off times.

haynes.....wouldn't you be able to shut vacuum off, but keep the releaser on so when the line isn't under vacuum it would just directly feed into the relaser, the once you hit the high setting the pump would kick on to empty the releaser??
what I'm battling with is how to wire the pump with 2 float switches for high and low. just thought this thing here simplified the whole issue. maybe I'm thinking incorrectly.

The 2 black pointed things in the picture are your high and low switches ,aren't they ? Somehow the wires will have to be run outside the releaser to plug them in .

What I was thinking tom if these would work is to make 2 penetrations for each switch. Then either use uniseals or apoxy them in an have all wires external except the power for the sump pump
Was more wondering if this switch would work. Could it really be that easy???

Jake , those look like conductivity switches. I no nothing in regards to using vacuum with releasers ect.....but pump control I do. If the tank that your trying to control is metallic they won't work. Normally only 1 probe is used then. Can you use 2 simple float switches?

Moser Im talking about when the vacuum is shut down for any period of time. That can be done with a flapper CV. High Low switching devices don't always do things in between meaning yea it can turn a pump on or off BUT will it turn the pump on at the high mark and then keep it on until it hits the low mark.

Pumping when the vacuum is still on is a must. Plus you want the entire unit to self drain to guard against freeze ups or contain complete unit in a hated room.

Tom that awesome
Haynes the releaser is made out of a cdl booster (PVC )
Wanted to do 2 floats but was told I need some sort of relay?
Actually was told I need a double latching relay. This is where my hang up is. I can do a lot of things but am totally lost there.
At work so please excuse my delay between posts
