Has anyone made one of the flip up stack cover that is willing to share some pictures and design information?

Ill try to get a picture tomorrow of the one I built,it took about an hour at the most and I open t by pulling on a wire,its like a tractor flapper.Al

buckets ,looking to expand again next year if it all goes well

1 Old Goat just to keep him busy
My awesome wife Marcinda who lets me buy maple stuff John Deere 790 to do all the heavy stuff
and the Good Lord above ,Amen

Do not steal a pot cover from your wifes sauce pan to make a shiny stainless cap .I know for a fact that this idea will cause problems in the big house

I'd imagine if you looked in a Leader catalog and you will see how they are made. Can't believe so many haven't see one to know what they look like /But then again

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has been grounded from the sugar shack for this. Lol. My wife didn't think it was as cool an idea as I did,but she did admit that the function and appearance looked good.

Well I got some time and started to build my stack cover. Here are a few pictures.

It made out of some stainless scraps. There is a 2" band to go around the stack. I welded a lip to the bottem of the cover to helpkeep out driving rain. I still need to get a spring to return the cover to the close position. The cover I cut out of 18g ss with I jigsaw

DanE ,looks good ,I did mine pretty much the same way,except the ring on the lid,great idea ,might have to make an adjustment after the season get over.I dont have a spring to return it it was kinda heavy and returns by itself .Great job tho,Al
