Default White spots on candy

Hello. I made some maple candy around Christmas time and now it has a few spots that are white. It just looks like soft white sugar when I scraped it off. I don't think it's mold but I don't want to get sick either. Do you think it's safe to eat? Should I melt it back down and make sugar out if it and would I need to add anything?

The candy you made at christmas time usually has only a 2-3 week shelf life . Did you crystal coat the pieces ? They will last 2-4 months but are alot more work .
