Description: Using a cone filter is a pain. We have developed a system that takes it to the next level. A standard 8 quart cone filter has more area than a 16x24 flat filter but the cone filter only uses the bottom 3-4 inches. Our Optimizer rack(pat pend) uses all the filter and save the very bottom for that last little bit of syrup when the filter does plug up.
The racks are all TIG welded stainless steel and fit either a round or square tank.

The Optimizer (pat pend) is designed to use the standard 8 quart cone filter. The round variant will fit a pot from 9 1/2" to 15". The square variant is designed to fit the newer square cone filter tanks such as the one sold by Leader. The square rack is 8" square. Thanks for your interest. pat

Pat, The optimizer is working way better than expected! Filtering is 3 times faster and 4 times simpler than it ever was before using my same old wool filter. Thank you for making my life easier. George Beneke

Hi George, Thanks for the kind words. When I first started sugaring I was so frustrated with the cone filter I was ready to look for a small filter press even though I wasn't big enough h to justify it. But now that we use this method I can't see any reason to use any other even if I tapped more trees. It is just too efficient, easy and the quality of the syrup is way above what I was getting with conventional cone filtering.
